The following are some of the signs or symptoms of hemorrhoids: 1. The number one sign of hemorrhoids is bleeding. Unlikely bleeding of the anus is something that can be presumed as a sign of hemorrhoids. Bleeding from the rectum usually get into notice during bowel movement wherein there is a stain of blood in the stool. It is best to immediately see a doctor if there is occurrence of any bleeding from the anal canal before, during, or after a bowel movement. One, however, should take into consideration that bleeding in the anus can also be another form of disorder/sickness, and might not be necessarily a cause of hemorrhoids.

    3. Pain in the rectum or around the rectal area which is not caused by any known physical injury can be indicative of hemorrhoids condition. Some of these pains include an intense throbbing and discomfort which does not subside easily should be reason enough to seek a doctor's advise. External hemorrhoids are more likely to cause pain and discomfort since external hemorrhoids are more exposed to outside irritants. In some cases, pain is also accompanied with bleeding.

While treating hemorrhoids, a good diet must be followed. To soften the stool, a lot of fiber can be consumed. About six to eight glasses of water can be consumed, and the patient must continue to drink this much water every day. Other items of the diet can include whole grains, fruits and vegetables.

    - Fourth Grade Hemorrhoids: These are hemorrhoids that protrude from the anal canal but cannot be pushed back in manually.

    Home Treatment:-

A bleeding anus can become very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Since bleeding happens when the anus or the lower body exerts pressure, bleeding may happen anywhere such as when one is in a public place. Needless to say, nobody wants to have their clothes stained with blood from the anus.

The most common symptom of hemorrhoids inside the anus is bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper or in the toilet bowl. The symptoms, progression, and treatment differ depending on where the hemorrhoids are internal hemorrhoids have four degrees of severity. Bleeding may occur with any of these. First degree: The hemorrhoid does not stick out from the anus. Second degree: The hemorrhoid sticks out from the anus during a bowel movement but returns on its own to the anal canal afterward. Third degree: The hemorrhoid sticks out from the anus during a bowel movement and does not return to the anal canal on its own. Fourth degree: The hemorrhoid is always outside the anus and cannot be pushed into the anal canal. External hemorrhoids. External hemorrhoids can cause pain, itching, burning, and irritation. Hemorrhoids are very common in both men and women. About half of the population have hemorrhoids by age 50. Hemorrhoids are also common among pregnant women.

The help of a doctor must be sought immediately, if one has constant constipation as well as strain while passing excreta.

Many people ask whether hemorrhoids develop into cancer. Well, hemorrhoids do not develop into cancer but both hemorrhoids and cancer can cause rectal bleeding. And a physician should be consulted in such serious condition to know the cause of bleeding from rectal area.

  • Internal Hemorrhoids:- Internal hemorrhoids are the enlarged veins that grow inside the anus and slip to outside
  • Bleeding Hemorrhoids:- Hemorrhoids can bleed whether located internally or externally. Such condition can be termed as a critical condition.

  • Hemorrhoids can be treated in several ways, and there is a natural way. The patient could soak themselves in warm plain water, in a tub. They should soak for about ten minutes, and do this several times a day. Professional help must be sought, as they will prescribe a certain cream. This cream can be applied once in a while.

Anal intercourse, constant constipation, aging or pregnancy could be the other reasons for the cause of this disorder. There are internal as well as external types of hemorrhoids. There could be a lot of signs with this disorder. There could be blood clotting with the external type, and bleeding and protrusion with the internal bleeding.

  • Severe pain: - Hemorrhoids located internally or externally can cause severe pain.
  • Itching and irritating: - External or internal hemorrhoids leads to itching and irritation and causes embarrassment.

  • Standing for too long can be another cause of hemorrhoids. As during standing position all the blood above the rectum exerts pressure on rectal area.

  • The infrared coagulation method, is a method where special devices are used to shrink the size of the tissues. Injections with chemical solutions are also a good way, as this solution reduces the size of the inflamed tissues. This solution must be injected at the area of inflammation.

    • Include lots of fibrous food in your diet.
    • Do not delay or try to prevent a bowel movement.
    • Drink lots of water and take your meals on time.

    • Poor bowel movements can contribute to hemorrhoids too. Don't wait when there is a nature's call.
    • Constipation, pregnancy, obesity can be the other causes of hemorrhoids.

    • Hemorrhoids can be treated with surgery and endoscopy. A common method is the rubber band ligation, and with this, a band is tightened around the area. This will help cut off the circulation to the area. The tissues will wither and then shrink completely, as the band helps in this process.

What's the treatment? Hemorrhoids treatment varies depending on where they are, how serious they are and what problems they are causing. Following treatment measures can be followed if someone is suffering from hemorrhoids:-

      5. Bumps, sores, lumps and swelling around the anus and rectum are may also be signs of hemorrhoids. These lumps, sores, bumps, swelling and sac-like protrusions in the anus is due to swelling of the blood vessels in the internal anal canal because of too much pressure exerted by the anus. The sizes of these lumps may vary from the size of a dollar to a much larger one. There are basically four degrees of hemorrhoids and each has its corresponding signs and symptoms as well as treatments:

      4. Discharges from the anus may also indicate hemorrhoids. These anal discharges may be brought about by irritation or swelling of the internal hemorrhoids.

Treatment includes gradually increasing fiber and water in the diet, using creams to help stop itching, and occasional use of stool softeners. Drink plenty of fluids, at least eight glasses per day. Eat a high-fiber diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains. Laser, infrared beam, or electricity is used to cauterize the affected tissues. Cleanse the entire rectal area with warm water after each bowel movement, and use a bulk fiber laxative to soften stools. Many people use bulk fiber supplements daily to prevent recurrences of hemorrhoids. Sitz baths (soaking the rectal area in hot water, in a shallow bath) for 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times/day are a simple and effective treatment for both goals. Sclerotherapy. In this procedure, your doctor injects a chemical solution around the blood vessel to shrink the hemorrhoid. Do not delay or try to prevent a bowel movement when the urge is present. Exercise, especially aerobic, may help produce more regular bowel movements. Drink plenty of liquids and eat regularly scheduled meals. Keep the area around the anus clean and dry.

The doctor must be allowed to examine the lower rectum, and the patient must not rub the inflamed area, or use any contact there. It will cause greater pain, if done so. Since the area is inflamed, it is wiser to leave it alone. Another important part of treating the disorder is the use of a good fiber supplementary.
